The Collaborative Affect™ is a multi-cultural, multi-identity collection of social and racial justice advocates that have joined to collaborate and speak truth to power. We bring a multilayered approach to the field are unapologetic in our purpose of interrogating and interrupting unjust systems that center whiteness and erase and/or cause harm to BIPOC lived experiences. Collectively, we have 100 years of experience in the public and private sectors.
Systems continue to fail and marginalize entire populations of people by centering white supremacy culture, white-bodied experiences. We bring counter narratives that focus on transforming spaces to ones that are inclusive and equitable. We believe in the healing power authentic dialogue & accountability. We are committed to the power of community & collective care. We understand that when communal members are in right relationship, systemic change becomes possible.
We are committed to uniting and guiding people as they learn to work together while remaining accountable for their own healthy change in order to make others feel loved, worthy and wanted. We are committed to the work of diversity, equity and inclusion because of the children and adults alike who are surrounded by systems that attempt to rip away their spirits solely because of who they are. We stand boldly in our truth, both gentle and fierce, to be visual reminders to every person who sees themselves in us that they are enough as they are, that they are worthy, and are deserving of spaces that celebrate their being .
